Jamia Introduces first ever DevX Hackathon

Organized in collaboration with Google Developer Student Club, JMI, and SoarX JMI, the hackathon saw the participation of more than 45 institutions in the event, including prestigious names such as Vellore Institute of Technology, Delhi Technological University, and Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kota. More than 150 teams had signed up for the event, out of which 43 actively competed. The multi-round hackathon culminated in the selection of 12 finalist teams to present their innovative solution for real-world problems.

Notable Highlights:

Partnerships & Collaborations: The event was in strategic partnership with SoarX JMI and GDSC JMI and was a media collaboration with The Jamia Review (TJR), hence giving it immense visibility.

Workshops & Learning Opportunities: The participants were exposed to skill-enhancement workshops on the latest technologies of AR, VR, IoT, Robotics, and Quantum Computing.

Expert Judging Panel: Renowned judges such as Dr. Navaid Z. Rizvi, Dr. Saif Ali, and Dr. Nehal Ahmad and from the industry Nahid Akthar and Aman Malik did the project evaluation in terms of novelty and challenge and the implementation/usability of the idea.

Moving on with the competition, the hackathon has set a high bar for forthcoming events. DevX JMI inspires innovation and collaboration, reinforcing the importance of creativity and technical expertise amongst student communities.
